Spoonflower is a leading digital marketplace for custom-designed fabric, wallpaper, and home decor. As a dynamic company based in Durham, NC, Spoonflower sought to expand its online presence and conversion rates through targeted digital marketing campaigns. My role encompassed managing AdWords campaigns, executing SEO strategies, and contributing to marketing initiatives aimed at engaging new audiences and driving conversions.

Spoonflower faced the dual challenge of enhancing its digital footprint to attract new visitors while maximizing the conversion rate from its existing traffic. The objective was to leverage Google AdWords and SEO best practices to achieve these goals within a competitive online marketplace.

Strategy and Execution

  • Building new user acquisition
    Created and managed Google AdWords ad campaigns with a sharp focus on engaging new audiences. This initiative led to 87% of new website visits originating from AdWords ads, significantly expanding Spoonflower’s market reach.
  • Diverse content creation
    Collaborated with the marketing team to produce compelling promotional content, including videos, blog posts, and newsletters, to bolster brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Increasing conversions
    Spearheaded the management of Spoonflower’s AdWords campaigns focusing on increased conversions. Through meticulous planning and execution, I successfully achieved an average of $1,130 in conversions per week from ad traffic.
  • Innovative campaigns
    Initiated and oversaw various personal projects, including campaign experiments, seasonal campaigns, and dynamic campaigns, tailored to address the fluctuating market demands and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Google
    Worked closely with Google AdWords strategists to optimize campaigns continuously, troubleshoot issues, and stay abreast of the latest AdWords policies and best practices.
